Dennis Weigel is a seasoned technology, audit, risk, and governance professional with more than 50 years of experience supporting complex operational and technology initiatives across the financial services, transportation, and defense-related sectors. A former United States Army Military Police Officer and Drill Instructor with an Honorable Discharge, he developed the discipline, accountability, and mission-focused leadership style that would define his professional career. During his early technology career, he held a Top-Secret Security Clearance while supporting Department of Defense-related computer system installations and later founded and operated his own software development company, where he designed and supported a Department of Defense ordering system. His career also includes 12 years with General Electric in senior marketing and technology-related roles supporting the transportation and financial services industries.

Mr. Weigel later transitioned into banking technology and enterprise operations leadership roles with Maryland National Bank, which became part of Bank of America through acquisition. Over the course of more than three decades in the banking industry, he managed and supported large-scale infrastructure, audit, governance, operational resiliency, and third-party risk management initiatives. His responsibilities included managing teams of project managers, auditors, vendor managers, and attorneys while supporting enterprise technology programs, data center implementations, check imaging and capture systems, operational controls, regulatory remediation efforts, and vendor governance programs. His experience includes IT Audit Management, Operational Risk Management, RCSA Quality Control Reviews, Business Continuity and Resiliency Planning, and Third-Party Risk Management aligned to regulatory and industry frameworks such as OCC guidance, COBIT, NIST, FFIEC, ISO standards, and GLBA.

Throughout his career, Mr. Weigel built a reputation as a senior manager known for getting things done within highly regulated and operationally complex environments. While never serving in executive-level roles, he became recognized for his practical leadership, operational discipline, and ability to bridge technology, audit, governance, compliance, and business objectives. He continues to remain actively engaged in emerging technology, risk, compliance, governance, and operational resiliency developments affecting the financial services industry, bringing a practical, experience-driven perspective grounded in decades of hands-on leadership, military discipline, and enterprise technology experience.
